Wagging the Head

How many ways did Jesus suffer from the garden where His enemies arrested Him to His crucifixion? They persecuted Him with their words, their hands, weapons, and with body language. Look at the latter in this scene, “And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and saying, ‘Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself, and come down from the cross!'” (Mark 15:29-30).
They tempted Jesus with their wagging heads. Oh, so easily He could have demonstrated His power to come down from the cross and do a whole lot more, but He resisted. Praise God Jesus resisted. On the one hand I wanted Him to silence them with a great miraculous display, but then I would still be in my sin!
Has someone wagged his or her head at you? How did it affect you?
