Seek Peace First

Sometimes it is a time of war, but only after seeking peace. Therefore, the Lord told Israel, “When you go near a city to fight against it, then proclaim an offer of peace to it” (Deuteronomy 20:10).
Yes, the Lord commanded Israel to fight plenty of times, but that was only because the enemies of the Lord did not desire peace and they did not desire His righteousness. He did not want His people to hunger for war and bloodshed, but to hunger for peace.
For what do you hunger with people? Do you look for a reason to confront people and criticize them, or do you want peace and harmony?
