Never Submit to the Devil

Jesus did not eat for forty days, but when that time ended He became hungry. “And the devil said to Him, ‘If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread'” (Luke 4:3).
Jesus thought of food and the devil knew it, taking advantage of it. He tempted Jesus to use His miraculous power to turn stones into bread, thus proving that He was the Son of God.
In my worldly thinking, if there was ever a time to prove the devil wrong that was it. However, Jesus did not think according to the world, nor did He live for His flesh, but He lived by the word of God. Jesus showed the devil that eating bread does not top the list of priorities.
The devil knew Jesus was the Son of God, which was why the devil approached Jesus with this temptation, and Jesus knew it. Therefore, He would not submit to the devil for one moment.
Remember Jesus is our Teacher. Learn from His example.
