Pure Family Relations

The Lord provided laws in Leviticus 18 to promote proper relationships in families so that no one would take advantage of someone who was close to him, “None of you shall approach anyone who is near of kin to him, to uncover his nakedness: I am the LORD” (Leviticus 18:6).
Notice how Yahweh God added to this law that He was the Lord. You will find this addition to many of the laws in the Old Testament. The idea also prevails in the New Testament.
Do not forget who made all things, who gave the laws, and who has redeemed you. That was true for Israel and it is true for the church.
Keep all those things in mind when you are close to someone in a relationship who is not your spouse. It will keep you from sin.
