He Spoke in Short Stories

Matthew wrote of Jesus, “Then He spoke many things to them in parables…” (Matthew 13:3). How long were the parables? None of them were long. Sometimes He spoke several parables in a row. At other times, He spoke only one parable. He could get His point across quickly. Nor did He think it beneath Him to speak for a short time.
I know preachers who refuse to speak a short message. No, they want to deliver a full-length sermon. They do not want to speak at a Wednesday night service, for example, to the invitation message, because to them speaking for only five minutes is something that untrained men do.
Jesus spoke full-length sermons, but the time He spoke did not matter to Him as much as what He said.
Can you say what you need to say in a short time?
