People Change

Did you have a problem with someone twenty years ago? If you have not seen each other in those years, do you think the problem still persists? Have you changed? Is it possible the other person has changed?
We know that with Esau and Jacob, the situation had changed. Jacob angered his brother so much that Esau wanted to kill Jacob. Therefore, Jacob fled and they did not see each for twenty years. After twenty years passed, Jacob returned home, but he did some things to prepare the heart of Esau that he might receive his brother.
It worked and both men had changed, “But Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept” (Genesis 33:4). That did not look like a man who wanted to kill his brother.
Leave your mind and heart open to the possibility that people have changed over the years.
