The End of a Great Man's Life

This is all that the Bible says about the death of Abraham, “This is the sum of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived: one hundred and seventy-five years. Then Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people” (Genesis 25:7, 8).
Abraham became the father of the Hebrew nation. The story of the Bible, which is the story of salvation, is built upon the promises that God made to Abraham. Yet, when he died, the Scriptures merely state his age, that it was a good old age, that he was old and full of years, and that he was gathered to his people.
After his burial, the story moves on to his sons.
Compare that with what the Bible says about the death of Jesus Christ!
