Praise God for the Defeat of Our Enemies

Revelation 19:1-4 announced the judgment of God against the great harlot who had oppressed the church. To that, the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down before God and worshiped Him, saying, “Amen! Alleluia!”
The members of the church were then invited to do the same thing, “Then a voice came from the throne, saying, ‘Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!'” (Revelation 19:5).
Do you praise God? Do you set aside prayers that have only one goal of praising God? Often we ask Him for this and that, and we do nothing else. Why not have a daily prayer in which you make no requests, but only thank Him for what He has done for you and the church, and find other reasons to praise Him?
In the case of Revelation 19, the great harlot of papal Rome, God had judged, because she had persecuted the church for centuries! That was a reason for praising God.
Persecution in the western nations has arisen against the churches. Yet, in time we will see the judgment of God against our enemies. Has He in the meantime silenced anyone who fought you? If so, praise Him for it!
