Rome Persecuted the Church, the Lord Persecuted Rome

May every nation hear and see what happened to Rome for her persecution of the people of the church. John wrote, “Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters saying:
‘You are righteous, O Lord,
The One who is and who was and who is to be,
Because You have judged these things.
For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets,
And You have given them blood to drink.
For it is their just due.’
“And I heard another from the altar saying, ‘Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments'” (Revelation 16:4-7).
The Lord spoiled one of the sources of wealth for the Roman Empire, the water, whether it was the abundant fresh water or the water of the seas. The angel declared that the Lord was righteous for doing that, because the Empire shed the blood of the saints and prophets of the church. The Empire reaped what it sowed. It spilled the blood of Christians, so the Empire drank blood.
In the Western Nations of the world persecution against the church has begun to grow. The persecution has not reached the point of blood yet, only words of mockery and attempts to silence the church, but do not think to yourself the world will stop there.
Are you prepared for what the world may do next?
