Is It Time for You to Live Well?

The Jews said that the time was not right to work on the Lord’s house (Haggai 1:2). They concluded that because they were having tough economic times. Therefore, they believed it was time to look after their things first and the Lord’s things last, if at all.
However, the Lord countered them, “Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying, ‘Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?'” (Haggai 1:3, 4).
We have hard times economically today. Where does the church fit into our thinking during these times? Is it time for us to dwell in our homes while the church is without enough elders, preachers, teachers, song leaders, and other workers? Are you doing anything for the church?
