See the Awesome Power of the Voice of God

Stand back and watch the voice of God in action. He simply speaks and see what happens,
He rebukes the sea and makes it dry,
And dries up all the rivers.
Bashan and Carmel wither,
And the flower of Lebanon wilts.
(Nahum 1:4)
You have seen a globe and saw the size of the sea. We know that does not give us the full picture, but we can see that the sea covers much more of the earth than the land does, and the size of the land amazes us.
Yet, the Lord speaks with rebuke and He can dry up the entire sea and the rivers too!
The reaction does not stop there. Bashan, which means “smooth” and was known for its cattle and fruitfulness, located east of the Jordan, and Carmel, on the west side of Israel’s border was also a place of great fruitfulness and beauty, yet, both of these places simply withered when God rebuked the sea.
It was as though Bashan and Carmel saw what happened when the Lord rebuked the sea and they withered in fear at the thought of the Creator rebuking them.
The gorgeous flower of Lebanon wilted as well.
Look at the progression. From the earth-covering sea to a couple pieces of property that did not cover much of the earth to the little flower, they all tremble and disappear when the Lord of heaven and earth speaks.
Does that happen when other gods speak? Does that happen when you speak? Who then do you think we should worship, honor, and obey?
