When You Sin, How Shall You Go Before the Lord?

The Lord had said that He had a complaint against His people and that He would contend with them (Micah 6:1, 2). They had turned from Him to idols. That baffled Him. He wanted to know what He had done to them and how had He been overbearing to them. He wanted them to remember all the good things He had done for them (Micah 6:3-5).
Knowing these things, Micah then spoke for Israel,
With what shall I come before the LORD,
And bow myself before the High God?
Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings,
With calves a year old?
Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams,
Ten thousand rivers of oil?
Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
(Micah 6:6, 7)
Those are good questions. When we have sinned, what present can we give to the Lord that will appease Him?
Think on that the rest of the day.
