The Power of God's Two Witnesses

An angel told John to do some measuring in heaven. The angel said though that John was not to measure the court outside the temple, because it had been given to the Gentiles as they tread the holy city for forty-two months. Then the angel said, “And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth” (Revelation 11:3).
God’s two witnesses on the earth, the Scriptures and the Church, would also prophesy for a time equal to the forty-two months, but they would be clothed in sackcloth, because the world would not prize them highly. They would be poor, yet, they would still do God’s work.
The world does many things to silence the Scriptures and the Church, but they both just keep marching on. Revelation 11 shows that the world did manage to kill both, but only for a while and then they come back to life.
Are you a member of the Church? Do you read and teach the Holy Scriptures? Friends, do not stop, but continue as you are.
