The Outcast Become Strong

Although Micah prophesied of the punishment the Lord would give to Jerusalem for her sins, the prophet also revealed wonderful things for the city in Micah 4:1-5, which we now know referred to the church. In the day that the church would be the gathering place for all people, the Lord emphasized further,
“In that day,” says the LORD,
“I will assemble the lame,
I will gather the outcast
And those whom I have afflicted;
I will make the lame a remnant,
And the outcast a strong nation;
So the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion
From now on, even forever.”
(Micah 4:6, 7)
The lame, those incapable of gathering on their own, and the outcast, those whom others did not want, and the ones the Lord had afflicted, He would gather them all together and make them as the remnant, that is, the holy seed who were preserved and they would all become a strong nation with the Lord reigning over them in Mount Zion, which would be the church in generations to come.
Are you a member of the church? Do you know who reigns over you? The world may see you as lame or they may cast you out because you are unacceptable to them for some reason, but do not worry and do not lament, for the Lord of heaven and earth has received you and made you part of a nation that exceeds all other nations in power and strength! The church of our Lord reigns supreme over all the kingdoms and nations of the earth.
