The Completion of the Mystery of God

John saw a mighty angel clothed with a cloud, a rainbow was on his head, his face looked like the sun, and his feet resembled pillars of fire. Then John saw the angel swearing by God that there should be delay no longer (Revelation 10:5, 6). What had been delayed? John went on to say, “but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets” (Revelation 10:7).
Ephesians 3:1-7 reveals that the mystery of God is the inclusion of the Gentiles, along with the Jews, in all the things God had promised the Jews. It was no longer Israel versus the world, but now the world can have part in all the promises to Israel. The formation of the church fulfills the mystery of God.
Therefore, the mystery of God in Revelation and its completion has something to do with the inclusion of Gentiles in the church. God knows the timing of everything. He knows what He is doing.
Do you believe that the church is God’s primary focus in the world? Do you believe that God holds the world in the control of His hand?
