In Hosea 9:1-6, the prophet explained that Israel had played the harlot and she would suffer for it. He then wrote,
The days of punishment have come;
The days of recompense have come.
Israel knows!
The prophet is a fool,
The spiritual man is insane,
Because of the greatness of your iniquity and great enmity.
(Hosea 9:7)
Israel had gone so far into sin and magnified her sin that punishment became inevitable. Do not let the words of this verse ever describe you or your church.
