Do You Contribute Every Week?

To read the Bible in a year, read First Corinthians 16.
Paul gave orders to the churches of Galatia, and to the church in Corinth and so to you and your congregation, that, “On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come” (First Corinthians 16:1, 2).
Every Lord’s Day, which is Sunday, you should give to your home congregation that it may have the funds in place to do the things the Lord wants His church to do.
When you have to be gone, leave your contribution with someone that he may put it in the collection, or if you were unable to leave it behind, make it up when you return.
When you are away, the church still has all its obligations and depends upon you to help it meet those obligations.
Give every first day of the week, and do not appear before the Lord empty-handed, lest your worship be incomplete.
