What Am I Without Love?

To read the Bible in a year, read First Corinthians 13.
What am I without love? Well, Paul said that I could be the best speaker on earth and in heaven, but without love for the people to whom I speak, I am just a lifeless musical instrument (First Corinthians 13:1). I sound good, but who would want a relationship with me?
I can know everything that is to be known and have faith greater than anything you have ever seen before, but without love, I am nothing (First Corinthians 13:2). You might be impressed with what I know, but you will have no desire to be my friend.
I can give everything I own to help the poor and even give my body to be burned in a cause that I believe in, but if I do not have love, the Holy Spirit said, it would not profit me anything (First Corinthians 13:3). You might appreciate what I have done, but you will not be motivated to return the kindness.
Therefore, examine your heart today every time you deal with someone. Do you have love in your heart for that person?
