Find a Way to Build Others Up

To read the Bible in a year, read First Corinthians 14:1-20 on September 4, AD 2008
While speaking in another tongue (a language), that that speaker had not known previously was a miracle and something spectacular, yet, if no one understood what was said, no one was benefited, except God (First Corinthians 14:2).
On the other hand, Paul said, “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men” (First Corinthians 14:3). That made prophesying superior to speaking in tongues.
The point of miraculous gifts was not to display ability, but to help people.
Although we cannot exercise miraculous gifts today, we still have abilities, but God gave us those skills, not to impress people, but to help them.
Do you help people?
