Let God Know of Your Trouble

To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 142-144.
Some people believe that they would bother God, if they told Him of their trouble. Oh, friends, God is a friend like you have never had before. Are not your friends the kind of people who want to be there when you have trouble? Yes, they are. God is even more so!
David let God know of his trouble. The preface to Psalm 142 says, “A Contemplation of David. A Prayer when he was in the cave” (Psalm 142:0). I assume that means when he hid from Saul in a cave, who wanted to kill David. He began,
I cry out to the LORD with my voice;
With my voice to the LORD I make my supplication.
I pour out my complaint before Him;
I declare before Him my trouble.
(Psalms 142:1-2)
David had no concern whether he bothered God. David had a huge problem and needed God and let Him know.
God wants you to speak to Him of your trouble. Whatever reason you have for delaying speaking to Him, put the reason away, and speak to your Father.
