When Someone You Love Hates You

To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 109-111.
David wrote a psalm, asking God not to be silent, for David had been praising God, and then David needed God to speak for him (Psalm 109:0, 1).
Hateful people spoke against him, lying about him, all without a cause (Psalm 109:2, 3). Yet, David had not been that toward them. He wrote,
In return for my love they are my accusers,
But I give myself to prayer.
Thus they have rewarded me evil for good,
And hatred for my love.
(Psalm 109:4, 5)
When those things happen, we cannot figure out why such people oppose us. Nevertheless, it happens. It happened to David and it happened to Christ, for as you read Psalm 109, think of Jesus, especially verses 6-13, because that section prophesied of Judas.
You will remember that Jesus loved Judas, but in turn Judas hated Jesus. If it happened to Him, it can happen to you.
