How You Can Know That God Is Near

To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 75-77.
Asaph wrote a song set to the tune of “Do Not Destroy” (Psalm 75:0). While we do not know the tune anymore, the name of it is interesting, for Psalm 75 speaks to the wicked that they not destroy, otherwise, God shall put them down!
The psalm starts with a wonderful message,
We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!
For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.
(Psalm 75:1)
While the wicked wish to destroy us, yet, if we look carefully we shall see that our God is near. Therefore, we can give thanks to Him, because he shall deal with the wicked according to righteousness. You know that God is near by His wondrous works that declare to you that He is near.
Look at your life and see that He takes care of you. Do not expect to live in the house of wealth with no troubles before you can say that God is near. Asaph had problems with the wicked, but the psalmist could still look at God’s works and know that He was near, which meant that He was ready to help.
You have had plenty of problems in the past, yet, there you are. How did you make it through all those problems in the past? God helped you along!
