Getting People's Attention

To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 22.
Paul became all things to all men, which meant that when he spoke to the Jews, he spoke as a Jew and it got their attention, “‘Brethren and fathers, hear my defense before you now.’ And when they heard that he spoke to them in the Hebrew language, they kept all the more silent (Acts 22:1, 2). They probably all knew Greek and perhaps Latin, but in wisdom Paul choose to speak to them in their own precious language and it worked. That does not mean they agreed with what he said, but they at least gave him their full attention, until they heard something that offended them.
Do what you can to be all things to all people. It might surprise you how people will respond.
