God Has Spoken

To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 50-52.
Another frequent writer of psalms was Asaph (Psalm 50:0). He declared,
The Mighty One, God the LORD,
Has spoken and called the earth
From the rising of the sun to its going down.
(Psalm 50:1)
What has God spoken to the earth from sunrise to sunset? Asaph said that out of the perfection of beauty, the city of Zion, God has gone forth and He shall not be quiet as He goes forth with a fire and tempestuous raging before Him (Psalm 50:2, 3). Asaph went on to reveal that God shall call to heavens and to the earth, all in preparation for judging His people (Psalm 50:4). Then Asaph announced that God shall say,
“Gather My saints together to Me,
Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”
Let the heavens declare His righteousness,
For God Himself is Judge. Selah
(Psalm 50:5, 6)
In the rest of the psalm, Asaph showed what God would say to His people. What He wants from them is for them to call upon Him in the day of trouble and He will deliver while they glorify Him.
Do you make a habit of calling upon Him in the time of trouble?
