Heaven Works Behind the Scenes

To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 8:26-40.
Luke revealed in the story of the conversion of the Ethiopian eunuch, that heaven worked to bring together the preacher and the student, “Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, ‘Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.’ This is desert” (Acts 8:26). Philip immediately obeyed the angel, who spoke for God. Then Luke showed the treasurer from Ethiopia returning from Jerusalem and he read the Book of Isaiah as he traveled along (Acts 8:27, 28). Next, Luke revealed, “Then the Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go near and overtake this chariot'” (Acts 8:29). Again, Philip did as told. He ended up preaching to the Ethiopian treasurer and baptized him. Generally, in the Scriptures we do not see angels and the Spirit directing things, but Luke gave us a peek behind the curtain that we might see heaven working to bring together those who have the Message of Christ and those who want it.
Pray to God that He might use you to teach someone who wants to learn.
