Godly People Among the God-Haters

To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 10:1-23.
The Romans hated the Jews and later the Romans would hate the church. Was it possible that among those haters of God’s people, there would be godly men and women? Yes, and Luke shows us one in Acts 10, “There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always” (Acts 10:1-2). After Peter went to Cornelius, preached to him, and he obeyed the Lord Jesus, other members of the church did not believe it. Yet, it happened and they eventually accepted that it had.
Are there people among those who hate the church, whose hearts God shall one day open? Be ready to serve those people.
