Do You Have What You Need?

To read the Bible in a year, read John 21.
Jesus had already appeared to the disciples two times after His resurrection. The disciples did not know what to do. He appeared to them a third time at the Sea of Tiberias, which is the Sea of Galilee (John 21:1, 2). Not knowing what else to do, the disciples did what most men do, they went fishing, “Simon Peter said to them, ‘I am going fishing.’ They said to him, ‘We are going with you also.’ They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing” (John 21:3). Those men spent three and a half years witnessing the ministry of the Son of God, watching Him perform miraculous deeds and hearing Him speak wonderful words. Yet, they did not know what to do and what they did do bore no fruit. Jesus confronted them, “But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then Jesus said to them, ‘Children, have you any food?’ They answered Him, ‘No’” (John 21:4, 5). That just did not appear right. Those men were set to change the world, yet, there they were spending a whole night in unproductive fishing.
If the Lord asked you what you have been doing, what would you say?
