Young, But Right

To read the Bible in a year, read Second Chronicles 34–36.
Can the young, especially teenagers, ever be right? Yes, and the story of King Josiah illustrates it. He was eight years old when he became king (2Chronicles 34:1), “And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left” (v. 2). Eight years into his reign, when he was only sixteen years old, “he began to seek the God of his father David; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images” (v. 3).
Pray to God that He give us more young people like Josiah!
