A Bronze Altar

To read the Bible in a year, read Second Chronicles 4-6.
Look at the furniture for laying sacrifices upon! Ezra (The probable writer of Chronicles), said of Solomon, “Moreover he made a bronze altar: twenty cubits was its length, twenty cubits its width, and ten cubits its height” (2Chronicles 4:1). The altar looked spectacular made of bronze. See the rays of the sun hit the altar and send the beam of light in every direction as the sun moved. Look at the size of the altar. We believe that the minimum size of the cubit was 18 inches. That means the altar was 30 feet in length, 30 feet in width, and 15 feet in height! That is larger than most American living rooms and 7 feet higher than most American ceilings! A basketball hoop is 10 feet high. Therefore, picture something 30 feet by 30 feet and 15 feet high, all covered with bronze! They did not move that thing around everyday!
Yet, Solomon’s altar only copied the one in heaven! What does the one in heaven look like!
