Three Siblings and the Lord

To read the Bible in a year, read John 11:1–17.
Three siblings loved the Lord and they loved each other, and the Lord loved all three of them. Then something happened to one of the siblings, “Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, ‘Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick’” (John 11:1–3). A dear friend of Jesus became sick and the man would die from his sickness. As John wrote about Lazarus, notice that the apostle told us that it was the sister of Lazarus who anointed the feet of Jesus with a fragrant oil and then wiped His feet with her hair. John wanted us to know that this was that Mary who did such an unusual thing. It must be that what she had done spread around the ea rly church and John wanted his readers to know what prompted her to do it. Jesus had raised her brother from the dead.
You love Jesus. How do you show it?
