God Knows All the Families of the Earth

To read the Bible in a year, read First Chronicles 1 and 2.
While the genealogies that cover the first nine chapters of First Chronicles shows primarily the lineage of Israel, so that eventually we could identify the Christ when He came into the world, yet, the genealogies also show that God knows all the families of the earth. Here we are in the year of our Lord two thousand eight, but we can read this in the Scriptures, “Adam, Seth, Enosh, Cainan, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The sons of Japheth were…The sons of Ham were…The sons of Shem were…Arphaxad, Shelah, Eber, Peleg, Reu, Serug, Nahor, Terah, and Abram, who is Abraham. The sons of Abraham were Isaac and Ishmael” (1Ch 1:1-28). Yes, the Jews worked hard to preserve their genealogies, but the Scriptures also reveal in these chapters those of non-Israelite origin.
Do you know who your people were in the year 1310, for example? I have no idea who my ancestors were in that year, which was a year I picked at random. However, God knows who they were and what they were doing. God knows all the families of the earth because He knows all the people of the earth, including you and me.
