A Pharisee Sought Jesus?

To read the Bible in a year, read John 3:1-21.
If you know anything about the Pharisees, you may be surprised by a man who visited Jesus, “There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews” (John 3:1). We are going to hear a little story about this man, and right away we get the idea that it is going to be a different encounter than what Jesus had with the other Pharisees. John continued, “This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, ‘Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him'” (v. 2). May God give us more high-standing religious leaders who will make such bold confessions of Jesus Christ! Jesus did not return a compliment, but told the man what he needed to hear, “Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God’ (v. 3).
It does not matter who you are, if you have not been born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God, no exceptions! So then, have you been born again?
