Are You Wasting Someone's Goods?

To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 16:1-18.
Are you in charge of someone else’s things? In other words, do you work for someone? Are you as careful with his or her things as you are with your things? Listen to Jesus, “He also said to His disciples: ‘There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods. So he called him and said to him, “What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward”‘” (Luke 16:1, 2). Whoa! There shall be a time of accounting, so that sooner or later irresponsible behavior has to be accounted for. What shall you do then?
Oh, you do not work for someone, but you are self-employed? Is it still your stuff? No, the great God of heaven has given you everything you have. Are you using it for His glory. Business owners also shall give an account, but not necessarily to man, but to God.
Let us all realize that we serve the God of heaven through His Son Jesus Christ.
