The Combination of Wisdom and Works

To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 6:1-32.
Jesus and His disciples went to His hometown (Mark 6:1). He taught in the synagogue there, but the people were astonished at His teaching, though not in a good way. They questioned, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands!” (v. 2). I thought it was interesting that they saw His wisdom through the mighty works He performed. We judge a person’s wisdom by the advice he gives, but the Bible adds another element. We can judge a person’s wisdom by the works he does.
Is the wise one idle? No, he puts his discernment to use. How do you show your wisdom?
