God Wants Us to Have Forgiveness

To read the Bible in a year, read Leviticus 4-6.
God has no desire to crush His people, simply looking for times when they have sinned and then using it as an excuse to wipe them out. No, as long as we make the effort to do the right thing, He makes provisions for our forgiveness. He spoke to Moses (Leviticus 4:1), on the manner of Israelites sinning unintentionally, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If a person sins unintentionally against any of the commandments of the LORD in anything which ought not to be done, and does any of them, if the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, then let him offer to the LORD for his sin which he has sinned a young bull without blemish as a sin offering” (v. 2, 3). See, He wanted to help them. He did not look for opportunities to condemn them.
He treats Christians the same way. He wants us to have forgiveness. When you sin, confess it to Him, ask for forgiveness, determine to do the right thing, and He will gladly forgive you.
