A Test

To read the Bible in a year, read Genesis 44 and 45.
You never know when someone might test you to see whether you are honest. Joseph tested his brothers to see whether they had changed. They claimed to be honest men, but he did several things to see whether they had changed and become honest men. When they returned home with the grain they had purchased, he had his steward place each man’s money in the grain sacks (Genesis 44.1-3). Then Joseph did this, “When they had gone out of the city, and were not yet far off, Joseph said to his steward, ‘Get up, follow the men; and when you overtake them, say to them, “Why have you repaid evil for good?”‘” (v. 4, also v. 5). You have to continue reading chapters 44 and 45 to see what happened next.
Always be honest. For the moment, it seems that not revealing what you have found or gain helps you, but if there is a reason to let others know what you have, let them know. Your honesty will pay off in rich dividends later.
