Why Fear When God Is Your Shield?

To read the Bible in a year, read Genesis 15-17.
Many dangers in the world put us in fear. Yet, why do we need to fear when God stands in front of us as our shield? He told Abram, “After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward” (Genesis 15.1).
Do you see any reason why God’s promise to Abram does not hold true for us? When you go into the world today, or with anything that you face or with anything that confronts you, try to remember that God stands before you as a shield. See what it does to your confidence!
