To read the Bible in a year, read Revelation.
Finally, the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, opened the seventh seal on the scroll that He had taken from God and “there was silence in heaven for about half an hour” (Revelation 8:1). Previous to the opening of the seventh seal, sounds and activity filled heaven. Then something special happened with the opening of the seventh seal (v. 3), which called for silence.
Can you figure out what happened in verse 3, that God would want heaven silent for awhile? God works constantly on behalf of His people, but occasionally, He orders heaven quiet. What could move the God of heaven to order silence?
