Let God's Servants Be Sealed First

To read the Bible in a year, read Revelation 7.
After the opening of the first six seals, John saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the winds of the earth (Revelation 7:1). That picture immediately makes us think that they held the winds for a time, until God gave the command to release the four winds of the earth. When would that happen or what had to happen first before they could release those winds?
Suddenly, John saw another angel, ascending from the east with the seal of God, crying with a loud voice to continue to hold back the four winds, until the right time (v. 2), “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads” (v. 3).
God has His own time for doing things. We want things done now. However, we cannot hurry the Lord, but we can wait for Him. He knows who we are and He will seal us according to His will.
