Jesus Knows Your Church

To read the Bible in a year, read Revelation 2. By Don Ruhl
Jesus walks among the churches, which means He walks in the midst of your church, as He told John to write to the Ephesian church, “To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, ‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands…'” (Revelation 2:1). The stars in His right hand are the messengers of the churches and the golden lampstands are the churches (1:20). He held the messengers in His hand and He walked among the churches. This gave Him an intimate knowledge of the churches.
He had John write further, “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil…” (Revelations 2:2, 3). He listed all that He knew about the Ephesian church. He knew all their good works and how they persevered.
Do not give up. Do what you can. Encourage your congregation to do what it can. The Lord sees and He shall deal with your congregation according to His righteousness.
