The Appearance of the Glory of the Lord

Read the Bible in a year by reading Ezekiel 43 and 44 today.
Ezekiel stood at the east gate and saw something magnificent coming from the east, “And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory” (Ezekiel 43:1, 2). Like the rising of the sun, only much more glorious, the Lord came from the east, lighting up the earth as He proceeded. What a sight! God spoke as He approached and the voice was not like a man’s voice, but like a roar with the power of many waters. The glory of the Lord kept coming until He entered the temple, filling it with His glory as when He entered the tabernacle of Moses or the temple of Solomon.
Then the Spirit did something wonderful, allowing Ezekiel to see an amazing sight, “The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the temple” (Ezekiel 43:5). What else can you say, but wow?
This all typifies the greater sight we shall behold in heaven. Fill your mind today with the image of God going over the earth, lighting up the earth as He proceeds. Just be filled with the glory of the Lord and make your soul tremble.
