God Behind the Scenes

Read the Bible in a year by reading Ezekiel 10-12 today.
Does God work? We cannot see Him, but we know He works behind the scenes. Much of the Book of Ezekiel shows this very truth. Chapter 10 begins like this, “And I looked, and there in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubim, there appeared something like a sapphire stone, having the appearance of the likeness of a throne. Then He spoke to the man clothed with linen, and said, ‘Go in among the wheels, under the cherub, fill your hands with coals of fire from among the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.’ And he went in as I watched” (Ezekiel 10:1, 2). What Ezekiel saw, no one else could see. God gave the prophet a vision that he might see what God’s work behind the scenes. He worked, orchestrating what He wanted done, although no human eye could see it. However, eventually the Jews and the world saw the finished work, which was the nation of Babylon conquering Israel, and bringing most of the survivors into captivity.
Does God work today? Oh yes, although we cannot see Him. Know that He works and that He knows what we do, and He orchestrates things according to our works.
