Confident of Better Things in the Brethren

Read the Bible in a year by reading Hebrews 6 today.
After showing the danger of falling away and that those who do fall have eternal burning before them, the Hebrew writer then says, “But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner” (Hebrews 6:9). The thing that strikes me here is the confident attitude in the brethren that the writer had. Many Christians eagerly beat up on others, believing that nothing good dwells in their brethren. Yes, the Hebrew writer was persuading his readers to stay with the Lord Jesus Christ and there are some rebukes in the Book, nevertheless, he believed in and hoped for the best in his brethren.
