What Belief Does to You

Read the Bible in a year by reading Second Timothy 1 today. Listen to Paul’s confidence, “For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day” (2Timothy 1:12). Paul suffered unashamedly for what he preached and taught (v. 11). Such confidence grew out of knowing the One, the Lord Jesus Christ, in whom he had believed, knowing further that as the Lord, Jesus kept what Paul committed to the Lord.
Christian, your life can be filled with the same confidence. It is not by a power that was only available in the first century, but it is the simple power of believing in the Lord. It will change your outlook on life.
