Read the Bible in a year by reading Titus 3 today. Listen carefully to what Paul told Titus, noting something behind Paul’s teaching that we be careful to do good works, “And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful” (Titus 3:14). Did you catch that last part? He so wrote, indicating that we should not be fruitless. Therefore, we have to maintain good works to meet urgent needs and by doing so, we shall be fruitful. It is dangerous to be fruitless. You do not want to appear before God on the Last Day without a record of good works.
