Beware of Certain People

Read the Bible in a year by reading Second Timothy 4 today. We want to be like Paul, who had a good attitude and was positive. However, he was wise and discerning, knowing that some people present a danger. One such man was Alexander the coppersmith, who did much harm to Paul. Therefore, he warned Timothy, “You also must beware of him, for he has greatly resisted our words” (2Timothy 4:15).
Let us be accepting of people, and be not overly suspicious, yet, let us not be naive. Whether we want to admit it or not, some people will oppose the good things we try to do. It does not make sense that people want to fight us, but they do. Get used to it.
