Trust in God

Read the Bible in a year by reading First Timothy 6 today.
By the Holy Spirit, Paul told Timothy that as the preacher for a congregation, he was to command the brethren to do some things. Some of you on this list are members of the Nile Street Church where I used to preach, and others of you are members of the Savage Street Church where I currently labor, and others of you are spread throughout America and in many other nations. Therefore, since I am serving in the same capacity that Timothy served, I must follow the same thing that Paul commanded Timothy in First Timothy 6:17, “Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy” (1Timothy 6:17).
Friends, do not be haughty. Do not trust in riches, because they are uncertain. Trust in the living God, who is certain, and He is the One who has given you all the things in your life. Enjoy those things, but do not trust them. Be sure that you build your life on the Lord Jesus Christ.
