Watch Those Words

Read the Bible in a year by reading Colossians 4 today.
Our words get away from us quickly. Someone criticizes our work, and we are ready to attack. Soon we fire off word-arrows and they strike the heart of that person. When the same word-arrows are shot back at us, we feel the pain, not realizing that our word-arrows also inflicted pain.
Dear friends, remember the words of Paul, “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one” (Colossians 4:6). The Holy Spirit says speak with grace always. The Holy Spirit said it. Do not argue with Him. Do not justify, excuse, or explain why you can shoot word-arrows, just obey the Holy Spirit. Speak words of grace, always.
