How Shall I Learn to Speak With Grace?

Read the Bible in a year by reading Isaiah 50-52 today.
In yesterday evening’s devotional, I referred to Colossians 4:6 that we must speak with grace always. Yet, if my language has been filthy or harsh towards people, how do I learn to change? Listen to this passage from Isaiah, because it shows what we must do,
“The Lord GOD has given Me
The tongue of the learned,
That I should know how to speak
A word in season to him who is weary.
He awakens Me morning by morning,
He awakens My ear
To hear as the learned. (Isaiah 50:4)
Everyday open the Book of God, as you are probably doing, and let God teach you how to speak. Remember He is your teacher. If that thought is first in your mind, you will not be so easily offended when people say things to you. You will also want to be like Him. Every morning, listen to the word of God and let it shape your heart that you might shape your words to help people, not to hurt them.
