God Shall Go With Us Through Suffering

Read the Bible in a year by reading Isaiah 43 and 44 today.
Listen carefully to what God promised Israel,
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. (Isaiah 43:2)
God did not promise to keep the nation from suffering, but promised to be with them and that the suffering would not destroy them. Notice they would pass through the waters and the rivers (showing that the suffering would happen more than once), and they would walk through the fire.
Likewise, there are floodwaters, raging fires, and roaring fires that we shall go through as Christians and together as the church, but Jesus promised to be with us until the end of the world. Therefore, regardless of what we are going through, He is right there with us.
